Tutors

All our tutors are carefully selected and vetted with the aim of delivering effective revision programmes at strategic points of the year.

We only employ the tutors we feel are best equipped to do this, hence they are principally practising examiners, Advanced Skills Teachers, Heads of Department and Senior Managers and all are subject specialists. Some hold PHDs or Masters degrees, with many coming from the local grammar or private schools. More than half of our teachers graduated from the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and the leading London Universities.

By employing teacher/examiners, we find that we are then ideally placed to offer examination advice, as our teachers have a thorough understanding of what the different examination boards are looking for and can therefore pass this essential information on to the students attending our courses.

Each of our teachers is familiar with the main examination boards and the similarities and differences between them, namely AQA, OCR, Edexcel, Cambridge and WJEC; we also cater for Salters option in the Sciences.

We are keen to measure the amount of progress made during a course; hence it is usually possible to see the 'distance travelled' from each child's performance from the level they achieve at the start and end of particular course.

Once a student has enrolled on a course, our tutors will make contact with them to discuss which syllabus, topic/s they are studying and to check on any individual learning needs they might have.
