October Half Term Revision Courses
October Revision Courses
Our October half-term courses offer students a first chance to receive tuition in GCSE (Year 10 and 11) Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth examinations in advance of the Mock examinations, which quite often take place just after the half term.
This slot is especially useful to students who are looking to revise earlier on, rather than leaving all of their revision to the Christmas or Easter holiday periods when the volume of work to be assimilated might become more daunting.
A level students might also benefit from seeking tuition earlier on, with most students having two modules to sit in June/July over a relatively short period of time; hence the pressure to retain a large quantity of information over the Easter or May Half term periods might be relieved by attending an October Half Term Revision course.
Some Lower Sixth students may also wish to devote this period of time to study ahead of their upcoming mock examinations, which might then be used as their predicted grades when applying for University.
GCSE/IGCSE students may also want to take advantage of this slot to prepare for their mock examinations. Certain subjects are popular at this time of the year at this level such as the three Sciences, Mathematics, Modern Languages and English Language and Literature, where knowledge is gained accumulatively before it can be successfully applied.
Some courses will also be available online for October 2021, in case some students now prefer this format and/or they may live too far away to attend the courses in person in Kent or Surrey.
The upcoming courses will presently be held at Tonbridge School, Kent and Epsom College, Surrey.
