Year 10

Students start seeking assistance with us from Year 10 age, given that a lot of the new GCSEs are now assessed in the first year of the two year course. In order to guarantee the best chance of gaining their target grades, students attend at various points throughout the year. This then allows students to adjust to the extra demands placed on them by studying for their GCSEs well in advance of the final examinations.

With the phasing out of examinations at A/S level in many schools there has never been a greater need to ensure that you child achieves the highest possible grades at GCSE level. Universities may now have to base an offer of a place on GCSE grades attained two years prior to the terminal A2 examinations are sat, as this is the only measurable evidence they might have at their disposal.

Our Revision Courses offer a chance to:

Understand how to answer questions in the way examiners want.

Practise examination questions with immediate tutor feedback and advice.

Work as a small group or individually to solve problems.

Practise examination board specific questions.

Please note that Year 10 courses are not commonly requested and might run on a one to one basis at a higher rate than normally offered for group tuition.
